How much scars from pins of Ilizarov apparatus for each leg?
I get information about Ilizarov-Veklich apparatus in which the rods used not pins. The Doctor said only 3 invisible dots for each leg. The cosmetic reason is important for me so I need to know which apparatus better to choose for less scars.
Please let me know

it all depends on how many pins you have going through your leg. I have been left with 24 scars, they are beginning to fade and it has only been a month since my frame was removed) I also had to have my knee cut open so I have been left with quite an ugly scar. I had a very complicated frame fitted to piece my knee back together again. There is always the option of cosmetic surgery afterwards if you wanted it. I am going to have it, never thought I'd hear my self say that but then I am covered in scars from the accident and not just on my leg. But in this coutry I am thinking you would probably have to go private for any cosmetic work which would be expensive.

Hope this helps

From personal Experience with the Ilizarov-Veklich apparatus , I advice you Not to try it , "Ladisten" Clinic in Ukraine is the only place in the world using this primitive apparatuse which isnt suitable for anyone ...I still have ugly scars from this apparatus so dont believe to the lies they are trying to sell you at that clinic that is managed by Doctor Vitality veklich . Scars will be visible either way but try to choose for yourself a real ilizarov expert and not take any risk with this clinic, You can visit my personal webpage
and read all about my personal experience with this clinic that offer this apparatus which is no more than a downgrade to the successful classic ilizarov frames, I advice anyone who consider putting ilizarov-veklich frame on his legs read my story at : http://www.squidoo.com/drveklich
